B.Com -Bachelor of Commerce

It is a 3 year, 6 semester full time undergraduate degree course, affiliated to Tumkur University, Tumkur and recognized by Govt.of Karnataka.

Specific Objectives of the course are:

To cater to the needs of the society for commercial and trade activities, VVFGC started commerce program to establish quality education and is affiliated to Tumkur University. The college, since its inception, was a catalyst of new ideas, concepts and skills in the field of commerce education. The mission and vision of the founders have remained a perennial source of inspiration for the college in reshaping its goals and objectives with changing times. The activities reflecting these goals and objectives of the institution are:
• Providing best possible Commerce education at the undergraduate level.
• Providing academic guidance to our students to face the challenges of various career-oriented and professional examinations like CA, CS and ICWA.
• Providing training to sharpen the critical and analytical skills dormant in the students by exposing them to real life situation.
• Organising seminars on burning issues in the field of Commerce.

The Departmental activities reflect learning beyond the prescribed syllabus with interactions with industry, corporate, and the stake holders in all the business activities.

Eligibility criteria:

Pass in PUC/10+2 or equivalent with minimum of 40% marks in aggregate of all subjects including languages.

Discipline:

The Vidyavahini First Grade College expects a high level of maturity from students, which shows up in a disciplined approach. You are expected to be smartly dressed at all times and follow the prescribed dress code. Attendance of a minimum 75% of the classes in every subject during an academic year is mandatory. Students who do not fulfill this requirement will not be allowed to take up the University Examinations.
